What these tools are for
Text tools take care of the small jobs that are slow by hand. The case converter fixes a heading typed with Caps Lock on or turns a list of labels into variable names. The word counter checks an essay against a word limit and tells you how long a speech takes to say. Text compare puts two versions of a document side by side and shows which lines were added, removed or changed. Each tool does one job and shows the result as you type, so you can paste, check and copy without a second step.
How they work
Your text is processed by your browser, on your device. It isn’t uploaded, and there’s no account or sign-up. Open a tool, paste your text and the result is ready.
Tips
- Paste plain text. The input box drops formatting such as bold and links, so the result pastes cleanly anywhere.
- Check names and acronyms after a case change. A tool can’t tell “NASA” or “iPhone” from any other word.
- Word counts can differ a little between tools. The word counter shows how it counts words, sentences and paragraphs on its page.
- When you compare two versions, turn on Ignore spaces if the text was re-indented, so only real edits show.
- Copy puts the whole result on your clipboard at once, however long it is.
